Michael Ofir, D.M.D. at Avalon Dental Center
Dr Michael is one of the most caring dentists of Massachusetts.
After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry in 1993 he obtained his Dental degree with clinical honors from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. Dr. Ofir continues to take courses in advanced dental technology and is an expert in the placement of immediate dental implants, Invisalign and the Six-Months-Smile technique.
Based on evidence of superior training, experience, continuing education and commitment to excellence he got the diploma America's Best Dentists 2016 according to National Consumer Advisory Board.
Michael is well known as the most experienced provider of Dental Veneers and Lumineers in Massachusetts.
Prabhdeep Singh, D.M.D. at Avalon Dental Center
Dr. Singh grew up in New York City. He graduated from The Institute of Dental Studies and Technologies, India in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery. Having gained some work experience, he moved to Boston, where he pursued his DMD degree at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Singh actively participates in continuing education so that he can provide an exceptional dental experience with the latest techniques and technologies. He currently serves as an adviser for the Tufts Aesthetics Society, which he founded in his final year of dental school. It is his belief that patient education is necessary for a beautiful and healthy smile.
When Prabhdeep is not in the office he is spending time with his family and friends, playing or watching sports and just having an all around good time.
Shadi Elmekkawi, D.M.D. at Avalon Dental Center
Dr. Elmekkawi is a dentist in Avalon Dental Somerville. He graduated as a dentist with honors from Mansoura University, Egypt, Class of 2008. He also completed post-graduate studies in Oral Surgery at Cairo University, Egypt, He contentedly worked at his family’s dental clinic for years. After moving to USA, He pursued Master’s Degree in Public Health from Nova South Eastern University, Florida and DMD Degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. EL. volunteered at numerous community outreach events. He is an advocate for dental public health. He is an active member of American Dental Association and Massachusetts Dental Society.
He always seeks clinical excellence and relaxed dental experience for his patients.
During his free time, Dr. EL. enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Their leisure activities include fishing, swimming and watching sports especially Celtics, Patriots, and Liverpool. He also loves to travel and enjoys eating out at various local restaurants and is always looking for recommendations!

Melissa Vasquez, D.M.D. at Avalon Dental Center
Dr. Melissa Vasquez is a caring and compassionate person. Passionate about detailed and artistic Dentistry. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Sciences with honors from Universidad de Antioquia in Colombia. She expanded her skills by getting advanced training in cosmetic dentistry.
When moved to the USA Dr Melissa Vazquez went on to pursue her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Boston University Dental School. She graduated with high honors and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor society. During her time at BU, Dr. Vasquez was awarded the leadership and academic excellence award from the International College of Dentists.
Dr. Vasquez believes in the value of continuous learning and striving for professional excellence to give
back to her patients. She continues to take advanced educational courses in all aspects of dentistry.
Dr. Melissa loves books, coffee, outdoor experiences, fusion cuisine, and values time with family and
friends.
